My name is James “Skip” Harvey and I’m a geek. Not just any geek, I’d like to imagine. I’d like to think I’m the kind of geek that represents the generation that got to see mainstream culture turned on its head and watched the Geek inherit the Earth.
My parents met at the planning committee for a Star Trek convention in Kansas City in 1976. I’m named after James T. Kirk, the “Skipper” of the Enterprise. This is in my blood. It’s who I am.
I define my very existence as being a Geek, validated by a featured role in Morgan Spurlock's documentary ‘Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope' as ‘The Geek'.
I've edited a Batman blog, hosted my own professional YouTube channel and self-published my first graphic novel in 2016.
